Unfinished Museum

Back to all Post

Iacopo Blengino

It is accomplished when I transmitted to the work what I wanted to convey, which coincides with the moment in which the work finally gives me something back (which is often something completely unexpected).

Unfinished what colour/shape does it have?

It would be a painting, a fairly large picture, the drawing is finished but it’s half painted. I can’t visualize a colour well, the only thing that comes to mind is white, like a blank sheet that has not yet been drawn, written or otherwise.

Is there something you have left undone in your life?

Yes, lots of unfinished drawings, plans for card games and other unfinished board games, a book about pirates and travel plans that I didn’t take.

Something that you find of value precisely because it is unfinished?

The game I am creating because it allows me to continuously improve it if I have a new idea I can still modify it precisely because it is not finished.

Where do you keep your unfinished works?

Everywhere, they fill my whole life and my room.

When is work done for you?

When I have filled the work and the work has filled me, that is, it is completed when I have transmitted to the work what I wanted to convey to it, which coincides with the moment in which the work finally gives me something back (which is often something completely unexpected).

3 words that you would match with unfinished?

A walk, life, growth.
